From my first show in The Love of Three Oranges to my latest show, Rabbit Hole, I've learned how many different paths an actor can take their character. It has also challenged me to see the various outcomes that are possible in the casting process through callbacks and subsequent cast list.
Casting Director
I write a blog on the various aspects of theatre. One of my blog posts goes into detail about the inner-workings of a casting director. With this general overview of what the job entails, I invite readers to learn more about the world I am going to be a part of.
Diversity
in film/TV
In another one of my blog posts, I wrote on the lack of diversity in television and film and how it affects talent seen today. As a casting director, I will push for more inclusive casting so issues concerning racial prejudice or bias will be few and far between.
